What the app does
- Liest die Geburtstage aus deinem Adressbuch. Du musst nichts abtippen und nichts doppelt pflegen. Reads birthdays from your address book. Nothing to type in, nothing to keep in two places.
- Erinnert am Vorabend. Eine Mitteilung zur gewünschten Zeit, damit du noch etwas besorgen kannst. Reminds you the evening before. One notification at the time you choose, while you can still do something about it.
- Ein Widget für den Homescreen. Am Geburtstag selbst genügt ein Blick. A home screen widget. On the day itself, a glance is enough.
- Räumt dein Adressbuch auf. Sie zeigt, bei wem das Geburtsdatum oder das Foto fehlt — und hilft beim Nachfragen. Tidies up your address book. It shows who is missing a birthday or a photo — and helps you ask.

Candela hat keinen Server. Deine Kontakte verlassen dein Telefon nicht, es gibt kein Konto und keine Auswertung. Was du einträgst, landet im Kontakt selbst.
Candela has no server. Your contacts never leave your phone, there is no account and no tracking. What you enter goes into the contact itself.

Nichts. Kein Abo, keine Bezahlschranke, keine Werbung. Wer mag, kann dem Entwickler einen Kaffee spendieren — einmalig, in der Höhe frei, und danach fragt die App nie wieder.
Nothing. No subscription, no paywall, no ads. If you like it, you can buy the developer a coffee — once, in an amount you choose, and the app never asks again.

Die App findet keine Geburtstage The app finds no birthdays
Dann fehlt entweder die Kontaktfreigabe oder das Geburtsdatum im Kontakt. Die Freigabe steht in den Systemeinstellungen unter Candela → Kontakte. Fehlt das Datum, zeigt die App unter „Aufräumen“, bei wem — und hilft beim Nachfragen.
Either contact access is missing, or the contact has no date of birth. Access lives in your system settings under Candela → Contacts. If the date is missing, the app’s “Tidy up” section shows you who — and helps you ask.

Das Widget wird aufgefrischt, wenn die App läuft. Öffne sie einmal kurz. Bleibt es leer, nimm es vom Homescreen und lege es neu auf.
The widget refreshes while the app runs. Open it once. If it stays empty, remove it from the home screen and add it again.
